Danya Bundy

Biography

I am a Tulsa native, born and raised in Oklahoma to a German mother and Syrian father. I grew up speaking German and Arabic at home. I spent summers in Germany visiting my grandparents and immersing myself in the culture (and, more importantly, the food). I am a Jenks lifer and stayed in Tulsa for undergrad at the University of Tulsa. I then followed in my brother's footsteps and graduated from the University of Tulsa College of Law. Since then, I have worked at the Bundy Law Office.

My courtroom experience began with the representation of parents in juvenile deprived cases, where I helped parents work through challenges including mental health problems and substance abuse addiction. I also gained experience working with domestic violence victims and helping them to obtain the protection they need against their abusers.

As a parent, I tell my kids never to stop learning, and that principle applies to me in my professional career. My training after law school includes the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers’ Institute for Family Law Associates, the National Criminal Defense College, and the AAML / Harvard Law Negotiation Seminar for Family Law Lawyers. In 2022, I completed an intensive 8-day trial advocacy program at the National Family Law Trial Institute in Houston, Texas.

What I bring to each client's case is energy, fuel fire, and reason. My goal in every case is to advise my client, execute the game plan, and finalize the case. I am one of few Oklahoma attorneys in private practice who has first-chair jury trial experience defending parental rights. My courtroom experience and ongoing professional development and training make me a fierce advocate for parents in divorce and custody proceedings. I consider the courtroom my home away from home. I obtain advantageous private settlements on behalf of my clients due to my strong negotiation skills and reputation for successful trial outcomes. I have negotiated favorable deals for Oklahomans and foreign nationals in various situations, including family law, civil litigation, and criminal investigations. I have been acknowledged by my peers as a top-flight practitioner, as reflected in my recognitions by Lawdragon, Super Lawyers Rising Stars, and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.
